Solar Energy for Your Home or Office To be rescheduled. The sun can be harnessed to provide renewable energy for use in both residential and commercial settings. Learn about the distinct systems used to provide power and heat water and how they can both help offset rising utility costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This class will outline the components of each system, as well as the structural requirements to employ them effectively. It will also touch upon the new incentive programs that can make the purchase of solar energy systems more affordable. Scott Sharpe of GroSolar will be the instructor.
Scott Sharpe is an outside sales representative for groSolar in the southern Maryland territory within the Mid-Atlantic region which includes Maryland, DC, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Scott’s background in real estate and computer sales lend well to the high tech residential solar industry. Graduating from West Virginia University, and becoming certified in Photovoltaic technology from Heat Spring Institute, as well as, becoming a member of the American Solar Energy Association (ASES), Scott is a dedicated professional. Scott’s personal passion for the planet is apparent everyday in his enthusiasm he brings to his clients and their projects, making them feel as though they are not just doing good by their pocket books and the environment but also leading by example in their neighborhoods and for future generations to aspire to.
